The subject of freedom is on the mind of everyone who is at all engaged in what is going on in our country at the moment. Freedom is a precious gift we have enjoyed in Canada,  we have all taken it for granted but his gift we all enjoy actually comes with a great price paid by those in generations before us. The 2022 Trucker Convoy is stirring our nation to a level of patriotism and unity not witnessed in decades and their mission is freedom for Canadians again.  It is also very obvious our mainstream news sources are totally against the event with the false news narratives they continue to spew day after day.  While we do have freedom of speech and freedom of the press in this country, it seems it is only free as long as it supports the political agenda of the liberal and left governments.  However, this is understandable when CBC is almost totally funded by the government as a crown corporation.  The other news outlets like Global and CTV are also spinning a narrative, all singing the same song--that the protest is comprised of radicals and minority fringe groups.  It is impossible unless you are wilfully blind to see this event as “fringe.”  It is probably the most powerful, well-supported event ever carried out in Canada that has support from coast to coast. The protesters are patriotic Canadians who finally said enough is enough lets do something about it.   

The impact this has had politically already is not publicized as much, but the political leaders are scrambling.  We have had the leader of the Progressive Conservative party already removed through a party vote, and now there is growing momentum to remove Prime Minister Trudeau with petitions asking him to resign.   I sense that the Liberals are getting desperate as they are threatening to bring in the military.  The RCMP are threatening protesters with fines at the time of this writing.   I wish the RCMP and the military  would remember their pledge when they joined the force that they would hold to and be bound to support the constitution above any other authority in their course of duty to Canada.  It seems the only thing the Liberals know to do is punish anyone that goes against their narrative and threatens it, whether by opening a church or not getting vaccinated.  When these fines and infractions finally make it to the courts months later they are often dropped or a fraction of the fine is levied for a smaller infraction because the freedom laws in our country are against what the police are imposing.  It is the beginning of a totalitarian state, and if the truckers’ convoy does not prevail here, we are going into a state control that will be similar to Venezuela’s. The future for our country is hanging in the balances if there is not a turnaround in the near future.  Even if a good leader replaces Trudeau with more reasonable and sensible protocols, the debt and other issues which are so big will take years of solid fiscal leadership to return to anything similar to what we enjoyed before.  A significant increase in all taxes regardless of who is leading will need to be imposed just to pay the interest on the national debt which is 1 trillion, 209 billion at the time of writing.  It is growing $424 million everyday.  This eventually will cause a massive recession and economic crash and the present government leaders know it but do not care.  It will be the excuse they need to become one with the global reset agenda.  

I spent a long time talking to a broken-hearted mother yesterday from another province whose 36-year-old daughter committed suicide last week.  This was a lady with a professional career on hold now for nearly two years because of the Covid pandemic lockdowns.  Her mother said it seemed when the news about the Omicron wave was threatening shutdowns again, she snapped. Suicide is the not the answer for any crisis, but I share this story because the mental health problems and the death and destruction that the mandates have caused in this country are way bigger than we know, and it is sad that our news sources do not cover those stories.  The trucker convoy is the very thing our country needed to break the mandate gridlocks that are destroying lives, businesses and communities across Canada.  There will be no end if the people of this nation do not stand up now and make it end, and that is exactly what thousands of truckers, farmers and citizens across Canada have agreed to do.  It is obvious they all are united to do something, and my hat goes off to them, but time will tell if it will be enough to really change the course of our nation.   These people are making a big sacrifice to carry out this mission for all Canadians, and someday we will realize how important it was.  

There was a King in the Old Testament who came on the scene in a very dark hour in the history of Israel.  His name was Hezekiah.  He decided he wanted to rule in a different way from how evil kings, including his father, had done in the past.  He knew he wanted to rule by the principles laid out in the Bible, which good kings in the past like King David and King Solomon had done.  He made an attempt to bring reform to his country.  He made a sweeping reform by getting back to the scriptural roots of their form of government.  His predecessor kings after King Solomon had allowed the country to leave their Biblical roots, and the consequences were disastrous.  His courageous stand and leadership brought great dividends for the nation.  Please read in 2 Chronicles chapter chapter 29-32.  I want to note a couple of verses in the end of the account that really summarizes the reign of King Hezekiah.  

2Ch 31:20  And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God. 

2Ch 31:21  And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

This is what would happen if someone would follow these principles today, and we would enjoy unity and freedom like never before enjoyed in Canada.  We need a spiritual awakening that will produce reforms and renewal in Canada, and we are getting a little taste of it in the trucker convoy going from province to province with literally tens of thousands of people from all walks of life young and old, rich and poor, saying, “Give us our Canada back.”  I think God has somehow orchestrated this event and is giving all Canadians a chance to respond.  What path will you choose?  Will you stand now and probably pay a price and some sacrifice of one degree or another, or will you side with the Liberal left and pay a much bigger price in the future because we will for sure lose everything we now hold dear.   Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of the USA constitution, made this statement: “They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security”

Alexander Hamilton, another founding father of the USA constitution, made this statement: “However weak our country may be, I hope we shall never sacrifice our liberties.”

Albert Einstein, the genius scientist and philosopher, made this statement:  “Freedom, in any case, is only possible by constantly struggling for it.”
