I’m looking forward to Prince Albert’s Focus on Women at the Prince Albert Exhibition Centre March 16 and 17. This trade show and fair always sparks my creative side and serves as an impressive display of the number of small businesses that are flourishing in Prince Albert. Admission to this event is $5 and children 12 and under enjoy free of charge entry. Please get out and support local businesses by visiting Focus on Women.
Have you heard of One Book, One Story Saskatchewan? This collective group has the goal of encouraging literacy by involving the community in becoming more socially engaged. One such event is planned for Monday, March 4, 2019 where Saskatoon author Lisa Bird-Wilson will read from her most recent book, Just Pretending. Members of the Prince Albert chapter of SAWCI will also be presenting original works of writing at this event and we look forward to hearing readings from Suzanne DePeel and Harvey Knight. Plan to be at the Prince Albert Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s library from 11:30 to 1:00 on March 4th. Refreshments will be served.
It is great to see all the wonderful events scheduled to take place within our community in the coming months. Feel free to share your events and I will be sure to showcase those that I am able to. As the spring song of the Sparrow fills the air I am looking forward to spending even more time out doors, enjoying our beautiful community of Prince Albert and sharing what I see with you. Have a great week, everybody!
