Marie Rose Lepage

MAY 25, 1922 ~ JULY 18, 2018

It is with sadness that the family of Mrs. Marie Rose Lepage, late of Debden, announces she passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the age of 96.

Mom attended school in Lac Pelletier. After completing grade 8, their country school burned down and the next closest school could only accommodate so many children.  Mom volunteered to stay home so her younger siblings could attend school.

At a young age of 16, Mom went out to work.  Her first job was working as a cook at a big farm operation.  In her early 20's she got a job in Swift Current working at department store.  She loved her job. She could afford to have an apartment, buy nice clothes, and best of all she made so many new friends.

She married our dad Adeoda (Eddie) Lepage in 1948 in Millardville, BC.   They lived in BC for about 3 years and then moved to the Debden area and settled in as farmers.  After many years of hard work on the farm, they sold their farm and moved into the town of Debden.

Mom loved gardening, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed her afternoon walks with friends and then off to the coffee shop for visits. She didn't watch much TV but enjoyed curling, Sask Rider games and the Bachelor.

Mom always had time for children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. With a great big smile and hugs and "I Love You".

Mom's faith in her church and God was unbelievable. She spent hours every day praying.  She was the finest example for our family. She was the BEST mom, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Clement (Dianne) Lepage, Ernest (Linda) Lepage, Gilles (Rita) Lepage, Madeline (Dion) Benson, and Daniel Lepage; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by her husband Adeoda Lepage.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 23, 2018 at St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Debden, Saskatchewan with Father Michael Fahlman officiating.  A Private Family Interment will be held after the service.

Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
