Caroline Kabaroff

November 18, 1954 ~ May 7, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Caroline Kabaroff announce her passing on May 7, 2021.

Carol was born in Prince Albert, SK on November 18, 1954 to Tony and Edith Starchuk.  The first 11 years of her life was spent on the farm in Strong Pine, SK.  It was there that she and her sister would milk a cow, Molly, so that they could make mud pies, much to their mom’s dismay.

In 1966, the family moved to Prince Albert.  In 1972 she met the love of her life, Harvey Kabaroff.  They were married in June 1974 and moved to Allan, SK.  Her only son, Darcy, was born December 1977.  The little family moved back to Prince Albert, SK.  An accident took Harvey’s life in 1979.  Carol then had to take on both roles.  She became a Driver Ed Instructor at Klassen’s Driving School.  From there she moved to Big Brothers and Sisters and made a career as a Coordinator until 2015.

Carol’s health started to deteriorate.  In May 2017, she moved to Mont St. Joseph Home.  While living there, she enjoyed all the activities they provided and found her passion and talent as an artist.  She met many people and made dear friends with some of them.  They will miss her sense of humour and blunt attitude.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her son Darcy; grandchildren Cody and Casidy; sisters:  Gail Fisher and Joanne Starchuk; brother- in-law Walter Kabaroff; sister-in-law Audrey (Gerald) Michayluk; nieces and nephews:  Carri (Richie) St. Pierre, Terran (Penny) Fisher, Kevin (Kim) Kabaroff, Randy Kunitz, Sandy (Tubby) Campbell, Angie (Heath) McCrindle, Russ (Nova) Michayluk; as well as great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and of course her very favourite fur niece, Mojo.

Carol is predeceased by her husband, Harvey Kabaroff; parents Tony and Edith Starchuk; parents-in-law Nick and Lida Kabaroff; brothers-in law Peter Fisher and Kenny Kabaroff; sister in-law Sharon Kabaroff.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Mont St. Joseph Home, Victoria Hospital and Parkland Ambulance for the great care provided for Carol over the last 6 years.

In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Carol may be sent to Mont St. Joseph Foundation, 777 28 Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 8C2.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Private Family Service will be held at a later date.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
