Gorden Remy

November 23, 1965 - May 4th, 2021

It is with much sadness, the family of Gorden Wade Remy, announce his sudden passing on May 4th, 2021, at the age of 55, of a major heart episode.

Gord was born in Prince Albert, SK on November 23, 1965 to George and Irene Remy.  He was raised on the family farm at Spruce Home where he farmed with his Mom and Dad. He then became a Millwright and Welder which was his life career. Gord travelled frequently with his career but ultimately his happiness came from being in his boat on the lake, fishing.

Gord will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Leanne Hunter and their fur baby Marlee the spoiled cat; mother Irene Remy; sister Valerie Remy (nephew Tristan, great nephew Jasper); brother Wayne (Lorna) Remy (niece Samantha (Patrik), nephew Brandon); Ernie (Janelle) Remy (nephew Kayland, niece Meghan);  uncle Eldon (Julie) Remy and their children; aunt Joan Remy and her children; brothers-in-law Todd Hunter and  Marcus Henderson; sister-in-law Lindsay Hunter; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Gord was predeceased by his father George Remy; grandparents Adolph (Georgia) Remy and Hjalmer (Clara) Berg; uncles Edward Remy and Lorne Remy.

The family wish to recognize and extend a heartfelt Thank You to Gord’s     co-workers who fought hard to keep him with us, as well as the First Responders (EMT); Star’s Ambulance and the Doctors and staff at the University Hospital where he ultimately slipped away to go fishing for eternity.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gord’s memory may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 26-1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9 or the SPCA, 1125 N Industrial Drive, Prince Albert, SK  S6V 5T1

At Gord’s request there will be no funeral.  We will say our good-bye and celebrate his life with love, in the manner he requested at a later date.

“We Love You and shall miss you forever     –     See you on the Lake Gord!!!”
